FOUNDER + CEO
BLACK UNICORN PR
Having completed her degree in journalism in the UK, JJ racked up over a decade of experience in Public Relations and communications and has worked both in-house and agency-side internationally.
Our Boss Lady’s professional journey began working for some of the world’s most renowned brands, including TomTom, ASUS, and VISA, until shifting her focus towards the world of startups in 2015.
From then on, Julija headed PR for one of the most successful London tech sustainability startups and worked with independent PR agencies for a wide range of technology clients. In early 2018, JJ founded Black Unicorn PR to bring something new to the market – a PR agency that would put itself in the shoes of startup founders and support them as a true extension of their team.
Not only does JJ trot around the globe speaking about PR at various events, but she also gives talks to students at universities across Europe.
Through initiatives like LT Big Brother, JJ is a keen supporter of the up-and-coming generation of business and PR talent with individual mentoring.
JJ is a full-time dog mum that somehow finds some spare time to enjoy reading murder mysteries (you will always find Kindle in her bag), travelling, and fantastic meals. She’s a self-proclaimed food gourmand.
Oh – and like many of our unicorns – she cannot imagine her life without coffee.
