The media world keeps evolving with new outlets and platforms focusing on startups to deliver the freshest, most insightful news on deals, products, and best practices. The newsletter, an old favourite, has evolved into an art form for many startup outlets and content curators. They help us save time and point us to the most interesting stories. But which are worthy of our precious inbox space?
Our team scanned through the internet of startups to bring you the ultimate list of newsletters you should be keeping up with – something insightful for every day of the week. Let’s get to it!
Sifted
It’s no coincidence that Sifted ended up on the top of our list. Backed by the Financial Times, Sifted catapulted into Europe’s finest startup media outlet at super-startup-speed. Tune in for a highly respected opinion on the top news stories as well as other longer pieces sent straight to your inbox on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

CB Insights
Looking to keep up with trends, backed by numbers? CB Insights crunch numbers from CrunchBase all day. Their reports offer trends and market analysis, using visualisations and graphs and the latest numbers to paint a detailed macro picture. Note that some content is behind a paywall, so you may have to pay to view certain pieces, and some of their data is more specifically from the United States.
Femstreet
Let’s hear it for the ladies with this weekly round-up of stories about women in tech! Femstreet is an incredibly valuable source for discovering new female-run companies, and we’d say it’s well worth the subscription to receive an additional newsletter every Friday! Pssst, there are also a bunch of subscriber perks!
Anna’s Weekly Fintech Roundup
Must-read fintech news curated by Reuters’ fintech correspondent Anna Irrera. This newsletter is a weekly round-up you do not want to miss out on, but it’s important to note that this one can also be pretty focused on data from the United States.
This Week in Fintech
Nik Milanović is not just a fintech strategy guy; he’s THE fintech strategy guy; after all, he is Head of BD & Strategy at Google Pay, and he’s got some news for you (every Friday, in fact.) Make sure you give it a read!
Fintech Brain Food
When Simon says “do this,” we’d recommend doing it. Not because he told you to, but because Simon Taylor is a super-smart guy who understands technicalities incredibly well; he leads a podcast called Blockchain Insider, and he’s also the Chief Product Officer for fintech company, 11:FS. This man knows his stuff.
First Round Review
Ready for bucket loads of brilliant operational advice and insights? Check out the First Round newsletter (and online magazine) from US VC firm First Round. This one mostly features companies from the United States but includes excellent content nonetheless.
